When: Monthly on Friday mornings 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
Last Friday of the month
Venue: Member's Home / Garden

We meet each month to chat about the issues of the day.

We agree on a topic, one of us introduces it with a few brief comments, all are then invited to contribute their thoughts – if they wish to – and we then open up for general discussion. Topics have included:

  • Nationality and Britishness
  • What makes for a Good Third Age
  • Black Lives Matter
  • “Follow the Science?” – introduced by David Holmes
  • Whither Education – introduced by Gill McNeill.

The key principle of all u3a discussion groups is that we discuss in a calm and mature manner and respect views that may differ from our own, opening our minds to others’ perceptions.
